Good wine, good people & nowhere to rush off to.

Joanne and Constant are both physiotherapists, although thankfully they work at different practices. Apparently there are limits to how much togetherness even a great love story requires.

Away from work, Constant finds his quiet in the garden.

Joanne prefers hers poured into a wine glass.

Already, we knew we were going to like this wedding.

They gathered their friends and family at Meulstroom Lodge in Bronkhorstspruit and turned their celebration into an entire weekend beside the river.

The wedding itself was relaxed and traditional, but never overly serious. There was plenty of laughter, a wonderfully playful bridal party and that easy atmosphere that comes when nobody has to rush home at the end of the evening.

And Meulstroom was a huge part of the story.

The river, open spaces and the feeling of being away from everyday life gave everyone permission to slow down and enjoy themselves. Instead of a wedding that seemed to race from one scheduled moment to the next, the celebration had room to breathe.

Which gave us room to watch.

The little exchanges. The ridiculous moments. The traditions. The laughter. The people disappearing into conversations and forgetting there was a camera anywhere nearby.

Joanne and Constant created a wedding that felt very much like them.

Warm. Relaxed. A little playful.

And best enjoyed slowly, preferably with a decent glass of wine nearby.
