HEY WE’RE JUSTIN & VIVETTE, THE DUO BEHIND IN-FRAME STUDIO.
What began as a passion project has grown into a decade-long journey filled with weddings, elopements, festivals, fine dining shoots, and unforgettable brand stories. And through it all, one truth remains:
The moments that matter most are the ones that feel real. That’s why our approach is warm, lighthearted and deeply authentic.
We’re not here to turn your wedding into a photoshoot, we’re here to witness it. The laughter. The quiet. The chaos. The connection. The magic that unfolds when you simply get to be yourselves.
As a duo team, we bring an easy, relaxed energy. We guide gently, laugh with you, blend in when needed, and help you feel at ease, even if you normally “freeze up” in front of a camera.
Whether you’re shy, playful, introverted, artsy, off-beat, or wildly in love, we create a space where you feel truly your self.
Based in Johannesburg but ready to travel, we love intimate, traditional weddings, barn celebrations, forest ceremonies, backyard elopements, spiritual or non-traditional unions, and everything in between.

What are you like on a wedding day?
Relaxed, helpful and always paying attention. We’ll step in and give direction when you need it, help keep things moving and probably have a laugh with your family along the way. But when something real is happening, we know when to get out of the way and let it happen.

We’ll guide you when a little direction will make a photograph stronger, particularly during your couple portraits, but we’re not going to choreograph every hand, smile and interaction.
For the rest of the day, we watch. Real doesn’t have to mean ordinary, and we’re always looking for beautiful light, interesting compositions and those little moments happening when nobody is paying attention.

Some weddings are loud and chaotic. Others are quiet, intimate and emotional. We’re not trying to turn your wedding into something it isn't.
We want to photograph your version of a brilliant day, whatever that looks like.
We’re awkward in front of the camera. Is that a problem?
Not even slightly. Most people aren’t used to having a camera pointed at them all day, and we don’t expect you to suddenly become professional models. We’ll give you enough direction to help you feel comfortable, then let you be yourselves. Usually, the moment you stop thinking about the camera is when the really good photographs start happening.
What do you mean by “Relaxed. Observant. Alive.”?
It’s really just how we approach a wedding.
Relaxed because you should be enjoying your wedding, not worrying about photographs.
Observant because some of the best moments happen quietly and disappear in seconds.
Alive because we want your photographs to hold onto the energy, colour, emotion and personality of the day.
Do you always work together?
We work together on our photo + film collections, which means you get two people who know each other incredibly well and can work around each other without turning your wedding into a production set.
What kind of couples do you love working with?
People who want to experience their wedding rather than perform it.
You can be outgoing, shy, traditional, unconventional, romantic, ridiculous or somewhere in between. If having a great day with the people you love matters more than creating a perfectly staged wedding, we'll probably get along beautifully.
Will you travel for our wedding?
Absolutely. We’re based in Johannesburg, but weddings have already taken us to some pretty wonderful places and we're always happy to add another pin to the map.
