Sunflowers, belly dancing & absolutely no fuss.

Mark and Inga spend their working lives writing code and running a business together.

For their wedding, they kept things considerably less complicated.

Their day at Cradle Valley was heartfelt, colourful and refreshingly down to earth. There was no army of people fussing over every tiny detail. Instead, the bridal party did their own makeup, laughed at themselves while doing it and simply enjoyed being together.

Which told us quite a lot about the kind of day this was going to be.

Bright sunflowers brought bursts of colour to the celebration, friends and family brought the warmth, and then a belly dancer arrived and brought something entirely different.

Suddenly there was movement, laughter and the wonderful unpredictability that happens when a wedding stops following the schedule and everyone simply joins in.

Those are usually the photographs we love most.

Not because everything is perfect, but because nobody is trying to make it perfect.

Mark and Inga's wedding wasn't about putting on a performance.

It was about two people who already share a life, a business and probably more conversations about code than either would care to admit, stopping for a day to celebrate the most important thing they share.

Each other.
