A Playful Engagement in Pretoria

A little romance. A lot of nonsense.

Some couples need a little encouragement to relax in front of the camera.

Joanne and Constant? Not so much.

Both physiotherapists by profession, these two clearly know how to work hard, but they also know how to have a ridiculously good time together.

For their engagement session, we headed to a country club in Pretoria, where beautiful green spaces provided the perfect setting for a little romance and plenty of nonsense.

There was tree hugging.

There was laughter.

And somewhere along the way, the bowling greens became the setting for some rather playful romantic moments.

We certainly weren't complaining.

What made this session such fun was how naturally Joanne and Constant bounced off each other. One moment they were being sweet and affectionate, the next they were laughing at something completely ridiculous.

And that's exactly what we love about engagement photography.

It doesn't have to be a series of perfectly arranged poses. Sometimes the best photographs happen when couples forget they're supposed to be having their photographs taken and simply enjoy each other's company.

Joanne and Constant gave us plenty of those moments.

A little cheeky. A little romantic. Completely themselves.

And a wonderful glimpse of the fun that would follow at their wedding.
