All smiles, a little romance & a few unexpected guests.

Every now and then, you meet a couple who remind you just how much fun getting married can be when you simply relax and enjoy it. Evarne and Ronan were exactly that couple.


From the moment their wedding day began at Cradle Valley, there was an easygoing energy that seemed to follow them everywhere.


No unnecessary fuss. No taking themselves too seriously. Just two genuinely down-to-earth people, surrounded by their favourite people, having the most wonderful time.

And the smiles!


The kind that appear naturally, long before anyone thinks about posing for a photograph. There was laughter throughout the day, plenty of affection and those lovely little moments that make each wedding completely its own. Even the ducks decided to get involved.

Apparently, a wedding at Cradle Valley isn't complete without a few feathered guests wandering into the photographs. We certainly weren't going to argue.


For us, days like these are a reminder of why we love documentary wedding photography.

When a couple feels comfortable enough to simply be themselves, the photographs almost take care of themselves. Evarne and Ronan didn't need to manufacture beautiful moments.

They were too busy enjoying them.

And that's what made their wedding such a joy to capture.
