EVARNE & RONAN
Cherry trees, muddy feet & a little adventure.
Some of the best locations aren't found on a list of popular engagement shoot spots.
They're places that already mean something to the people we're photographing.
For Evarne and Ronan, that place was her dad's cherry farm in Magaliesberg.
And what a place it was.
Cherry trees, old ruined buildings, hay bales, winding dirt roads and natural water running through the property. Everywhere we turned, there was another little corner waiting to be explored.
But the real fun began when Evarne and Ronan decided they weren't going to play it safe.
Into the river they went.
Then came the running along dusty roads, the laughter, the spontaneous affection and all those wonderful moments that happen when a couple forgets about the camera and simply enjoys being together.
We moved from one location to the next, making the most of the farm's textures, colours and beautiful natural surroundings. Nothing needed to be overly staged.
The setting was personal, the couple were completely themselves and the photographs reflected both.
And perhaps that's what makes this session so special.
Before their wedding at Cradle Valley, we had the opportunity to photograph Evarne and Ronan somewhere that was already part of their story.
Not just a beautiful location.
A place that felt like home.
